Pinyon Crest, California is a naturally preserved community high up in the Santa Rosa mountains overlooking Palm Desert with views from Palm Springs to La Quinta - all of the Coachella Valley. The community gets its name from the numerous Pinyon Pines which thrive amidst the granite rock formations and cactus. Originally developed in the 1950s, Pinyon Crest has 200 parcels which average around 2.5 acres each.

The Pinyon Crest community takes pride in maintaining the natural landscape and even the roads remain unpaved.  Pinyon Crest is a journey back in time to true peace and quiet - yet only a 15 minute drive up the Palms to Pines Highway (Route 74 ) from El Paseo at the center of Palm Desert.
